Be With Me Playseum

Earlier this week, I took Hannah and Evie to a kid's play museum where we met our friends Desmond and Katharine. This was the most fun activity that I have done with Evie. She was as busy as anything running from room to room and trying out all the "adult" objects that usually she's not allowed to touch. This is definitely a place that we will go to again and again because it fits such a wide range of ages. If you live in the area, you definitely have to check it out!

This was the sand box room- it works great for 2 year olds, but Evie just wanted to pick up the sand and throw it outside of the box!

There were many tunnels to crawl through (I know I should say "through which to crawl" but it makes me sound too stuffy).

There was a firehouse.

Hannah just stuck Evie in the backseat. You can do that when you're the older one.

The pet room was awesome! So many bunnies, lizards, birds, mice, etc. Evie just barked at each animal since it's the only animal noise she can do right now.

Hannah got to hold a frog! And she didn't flinch when it jumped up on her!

They kept coming back to this old typewriter. The one time that day when my little one had a tantrum was when I had to take her away from the typewriter for storytime.

Oh my. If this doesn't make you laugh, I don't know what will!

There was a miniature Safeway there with real grocery carts. Hannah made sure she got all the food she needed for the week.

Evie just wanted to take apart the grocery carts and put them back together.

Desmond was great at ringing up all their groceries!

The nature room had a little fishing hole.

And to end the day, we went to Domino's Pizza. Desmond made a great pasta bake...

and Hannah made a ham and pineapple pizza.

Katharine and I were just smiling all morning as we watched our young ones living out their dreams in an adult world!

  1. I've been there/worked a few hours on weekends to assist owner after she had first opened. Isn't it great!?

  2. Oh how neat, Crystal! I love the concept of the place, and it was so well-run. The people that worked there really understand children!
