Birthdays

Finally, finally, I think I may be ready to get back into blogging again.  Besides getting through the holidays, moving to a new house, Chris finishing his MBA (YES!), and trying to continue with the rest of our normal life, we had a couple of very important birthdays.  Our house was definitely not perfect, but we had so much fun celebrating our little girls.

For the first time, Evie actually asked for a theme for her birthday party.  Without prompting or asking her for anything, she came up to me one day and said she wanted a Max and Ruby birthday party.  Thank goodness for Pinterest, because otherwise I wouldn't have known where to start!

As is our tradition, we had cinnamon rolls for breakfast.

(Sorry, picture sizes and captions aren't working for the rest of the pictures.  I'll figure that out later!)

I really had a lot of fun planning this party!

A dirt cake for Max and a pink cake for Ruby.

These are supposed to look like carrots!

The kids loved watching a Max and Ruby video after all the festivities.

Then a couple weeks later, we had Cora's first birthday!  My parents got all the girls matching outfits!

The banner in the background was used for quite a few events this year!

How fast a year goes by!

Unlike her sister, Cora was very suspicious about her cake.  She barely even wanted to touch it.  I think she managed to get one bite in before giving us a disgusted look and pushing it away!  We have a picky little eater!

And finally, we celebrated GG Vi's birthday with extended family.

Even on her own birthday, GG Vi still got presents for all the kids.  You can do that when you're a Great-Grandma!

The kids love GG Vi!

Happy Birthday, Grandma!  We loved celebrating with you!
