Summer Fun!

The slow, lazy days of summer have begun! I love this time of year, as long as the heat doesn't get too dreadful- that's wishful thinking in this area! But we find ways to keep cool, and we have had the occasional mild day, so I can't complain!

Evie always knows how to keep up with the styles.

We went to our CSA farm with Sandy and the kids. This time Evie liked the pigs, until one of them snuck up behind her and snorted in her ear.

They had an awesome jumping pillow. Hannah is a pro!

James and Evie felt safer in the sand.

On the "hayride" to go strawberry picking!

Evie would stuff whole strawberries in her mouth and spit out the leaves.

One of my favorite parts of summer is that Chris does most of the cooking! We try to grill out at least 4 nights a week. Between our CSA, bulk beef, and the Amish dairy farm that delivers to this area, I barely ever have to go to the grocery store, and we eat so well!

One night we had a great summer rainstorm. Evie kept looking out the screen and said that she wanted to go out. There was no lightning, so we let her walk out to the patio. She stood there for 15 minutes and was so happy. Oh, to be a kid again!
