Fun Weekend!

Tonight is the last thing that we have written in our calendar: Date Night! We switch off babysitting with our friends, and we try to use our Entertainment Book or other coupons to make it an inexpensive night. This may be our last date night in awhile (at least without toting a newborn along) so we will definitely enjoy it!

This weekend was the installment weekend for the new pastor of our church. We are so excited for him to be leading our congregation as he is a man of integrity and great faith. Chris was honored to be a part of the search committee for the new pastor, so he was able to see firsthand how God was completely in control of the whole situation and made it very clear who our new pastor was to become. This is definitely a time to celebrate, but most importantly for giving God the glory for His faithfulness to us.

Now onto the pictures! On Saturday we had our first family bowling night with some of our good friends.

Evie did a great job retrieving the balls and pushing them down the ramp.

Towards the end of the second game, however, she grew tired of watching how many pins she knocked down...

and then ended up enjoying this position the most.

Yesterday we celebrated Evie's birthday with my family 1 week late. It was supposed to happen last weekend except that I got the stomach flu- at 37 weeks pregnant, while having BH contractions the whole weekend. I do not recommend it.

Thanks to Uncle Jeff, Evie got her favorite meal of Chick-Fil-A chicken strips, roasted broccoli, and mac and cheese. She talked about it all day!

And of course, there was a tea party.

But the favorite activity was throwing pillows on Uncle Jeff while he was sleeping.

For anyone who knows my brother, he is hilarious. His sense of humor keeps us all young and fun. We'd be a very boring family without him :) One of the things that he introduced our kids to is a man named Nathan Barnatt. You have to be choosy with which videos to show your kids, and if they can read, make sure they don't see the comments- some people just have no filter when they write online! But this one has definitely become a favorite in our house. The kids start out on the couch, and after 30 seconds they are off on the floor dancing. So that's how we decided to end the night!

I just had to add this picture because it made me laugh. Our baby looks like it is lying sideways with its feet sticking out from my stomach. Oh, little one, we are ready for you! You can come anytime now!

But this little baby is going to have to compete with the coolness of Big Sister. When she has sunglasses on, she knows how to pose! (this outfit is thanks to Great-Grandpa Hubley)
