Last weekend our church went on a retreat to western Virginia. I'm sure those of you who religiously read my blog will find it as no surprise that I LOVED getting out to the country for the weekend. City life really drains me, so it was refreshing to have time as a family with our church friends.

| Evie was so happy to be with her friends All Weekend Long. As soon as she got up in the morning she yelled, "Where are my friends. We have to play!" |
| Our church friends were blessed to be able to hear the loud growling sounds Cora makes while she's eating. So, this makes 2 Bender babies that growled when they started eating solid food. From the looks I get from other moms, I don't think this is normal! |
| Evie loves older girls. She followed these two around all weekend like a shadow. And they were so sweet to her! |
| I love my little bald baby! |
| Evie cheered on Daddy, Mr. George, Mr. Charlie, and Miss Christa during the ultimate frisbee game. She knew many others out there but decided to stick to these four. |
| Waiting for her turn at kickball. |
| The kids creamed the adults at this game. We have some pretty athletic kids in this group! |
It was a wonderful weekend for all of us. Our church provided childcare so that Chris and I could sit undistracted through the sessions. On the way home Evie was pretty cranky, and we could tell that she wasn't sure why she was so upset. Finally, she said, "Mommy, I want to go back to camp with my friends." She cried the rest of the way home.
