"...there were never such devoted sisters"

I love having girls.  Don't get me wrong, I love boys and we would love to have a boy at some point, but there's nothing like the relationship of sisters.  Since my sister and I are about as close together in age as Evie and Cora, it really brings back so many memories watching them together, and it makes me excited for the fun stages to come.  One time I showed Evie the White Christmas classic song, "Sisters" and she constantly asks for it now.  She absolutely loves that song and has correctly decided which one is Evie (the older, more mature one) and which one is Cora (the younger, playful one).
I realized that I haven't put up many pictures of my girls together.  So here's a collection of photos from the past few months.

Evie LOVES giving Cora big hugs and kisses

Big sister giving little sister a push on the "sled" (the plastic bin actually worked really well!)

After a walk with Daddy- I love Cora's face in this picture

Cora had just woken up from her nap and refused to take her thumb out of her mouth.  But she has a little smirk behind that thumb :)

Our porch has become my painting area, and this piece of furniture was one of my projects.  It was also a fun place to read books in the morning.

You really don't have to teach siblings how to be pesky to each other.  Cora has perfected the quick tug of the hair and then crawling away as fast as she can while laughing hysterically.  I caught her in this process.

While visiting Concord, MA at Christmas time.

Sitting in their matching chairs.  We now have a little reading corner with their chairs and the girls will sit together and read books.  Melts my heart.

More kisses

We stayed at a Gaylord hotel in December.  Their favorite part was jumping on the big bed.

I love these two cuties!  They add so much sparkle and joy to our lives.  We are so thankful that they have each other!

  1. Beautiful! I love having two daughters close in age for this very reason.
