Yesterday we went to my cousin's house for a picnic and some pool time. They have a great backyard, so the kids enjoyed splashing in the pool and playing in the sand box.

Who needs one of these when you can make one yourself!
This kept her busy for over an hour. Every few minutes I would add another "toy" like an ice cube tray, a colander, a funnel, a big cup, a spoon, etc. The final delight was the water wheel at the end.
Kids really aren't as expensive to raise as our culture says. I think we make their lives too complicated by adding in lots of "stuff" when they can be just as happy with a bowl full of water!
