A Kentucky Wedding

This past weekend Evie and I drove with my parents, my Grandma, and my aunt out to Kentucky for my cousin Nate's wedding. It was a beautiful weekend- the weather couldn't have been more perfect. Cool and sunny. The wedding was in a barn, beautifully decorated, and the whole evening was so comfortable and casual. I loved it, and I'm so glad that the new couple was able to fully enjoy celebrating their marriage.

Because I have a toddler, I didn't do a great job of taking pictures. I was so distracted by Evie running around everywhere (well past her bedtime which made her run even harder) so pictures were the last thing on my mind. But here are a few that showcase the weekend.

All 6 of us rode together in a Honda Pilot. Evie did a great job on the 9 hour trip, but part of the reason was because Grandpa let her use his DVD player!

At the rehearsal dinner...she was a little stinker at times, but awfully cute with those pigtails!

My family completely took over the hotel lobby. We hung out there all day on Friday, and Evie was very well entertained by the elevator and the automatic doors (we just had to keep a close eye on her!)

It's amazing how convincing men can be. Evie didn't have her bathing suit so my cousin Ben and my dad both suggested she can just go in her diaper. Oh my, but it worked!

I was hoping that Evie would allow me to sit through the whole wedding ceremony. But, no. The Cheerios lasted 5 minutes and then she started yelling for more, so I bolted out of there fast! Thankfully there were a few other squirmy kids that weren't going to make it either, so Evie had some playmates!

This is definitely her giddy it-is-so-far-past-my-bedtime-and-I'm-loving-every-minute-of-it stage.

The sisters and Grandma. They just giggled their way through the whole weekend!

Sparklers to send off the couple!

And the happy couple is off!

Welcome to the family, Bethany! We are so thankful that God brought you and Nate together. We can't wait for the crazy Hebele reunions with a new cousin! :)
